PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Inspectors have visited a County Durham care home after receiving safeguarding concerns. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) received concerns about the welfare of residents at Bowburn Care Centre, in Bowburn, in January this year. The care centre, which is operated by St Philips Care, was later visited by inspectors and will be kept under review. A spokeswoman for the CQC said the findings will be published in the coming weeks and it will be re-inspected to check improvements. Following the inspection and an internal review, a spokesman said it resulted in the immediate implementation of an action plan to guide internal change and a review of procedures. The centre can accommodate up to 80 people with residential needs and was upgraded from 'Requires Improvement' to ‘Good’ after an inspection in September last year. A spokeswoman from the CQC said: “CQC received safeguarding concerns in January 2021 regarding Bowburn Care Centre in Durham.

. “We will keep the service under review and will re-inspect over the coming months to check for improvements. “If there is evidence people are at immediate risk of harm, we will not hesitate to take immediate action to ensure people are being kept safe and receiving the care they deserve.” A spokesman for St Philips Care said: "Shortfalls in operational issues were identified by ourselves through internal review and by the CQC during inspection. "This resulted in the immediate implementation of an action plan to guide internal change and a review of procedures. "We are unable to comment further until the final report is provided by CQC. "The ongoing care and support of our residents is paramount and we will work tirelessly in partnership with CQC and Durham County Council to ensure the dedication of staff is reflected in the administration of the home."
