PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Flowers have been left in tribute to an alleged murder victim following a suspected assault in Wallsend. Northumbria Police was called to the Holy Cross area of Wallsend shortly before 2.30pm on Monday following reports that a man had been injured on St Hilda's Avenue. As well as the police, the North East Ambulance Service, and the Great North Air Ambulance Service attended the scene. A 43-year-old man was found with "serious injuries" and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police subsequently launched a murder investigation and officers confirmed on Monday evening that three male teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They currently remain in police custody. Officers said the man's next-of-kin have been informed and said his loved ones are currently being supported by specialist family liaison officers.

Neighbours in the estate told ChronicleLive how shocked they had been by the violence. One woman living nearby said: "You just don't expect this to happen. You don't expect it at all, especially not in the middle of the day. Not at the time your kids are coming out of school."
