A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital following the crash on Cheetham Hill Road on Saturday evening. Her injuries were described as 'not life-threatening'. On Tuesday, the Independent Office for Police Conduct confirmed it was looking into the crash.

Thomas Anthony Joseph Keogh, of no fixed abode, has been charged with threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place, possessing a bladed article in a public place and aggravated vehicle taking in connection with the incident.
