PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Boris Johnson has set out five key dates in lifting lockdown in England. The Prime Minister unveiled his long-awaited roadmap on Monday (February 22) in the House of Commons. The plan has been divided into four steps which could see all restrictions lifted by the end of June - at the earliest. A parliamentary vote will take place with the full roadmap to be debated and voted upon by Parliament before the Easter recess. It will also depending on the four tests for easing lockdown as announced by Downing Street. The four tests are: The vaccine deployment programme continues successfully Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS Our assessment of the risks is not fundamentally changed by new 'variants of concern' Restrictions will only be lifted if all tests are met at each stage. Here are the key dates out of lockdown: STEP ONE - PART ONE - MARCH 8 As already suggested, all students will return to schools and colleges with the likes of after schools clubs and school sports allowed to resume. There will also be allowance for more recreational activity with two people allowed to meet in a public space. This has been allowed in lockdown, however, for exercise only. Care home residents will be allowed one regular named visitor. The final point is that the Stay at Home order will remain in place. STEP ONE - PART TWO - MARCH 29 By the end of March, outdoor gatherings of either six people - the previous rule of six - or a larger group from up to two households will be allowed. This includes meetings in private gardens. Outdoor sports facilities - such as tennis, golf courses and basketball courts - will also be allowed to reopen for people to take part in "formally organised" outdoor sports. This includes both children and adults. The Stay at Home order will end at this point and will instead become a message encouraging people to stay local wherever they can. People will still be asked to work from home wherever possible and the option of overseas travel is still off the table - apart from exemptions. STEP TWO - APRIL 1 From April 12, at the earliest, non-essential shops, personal care premises - hairdressers and nail salons - as well as public buildings - libraries and museums - and most outdoor attractions and settings will reopen. However, people will only allowed to visit these areas and settings with people in their own household. Indoor leisure facilities, including gyms and swimming pools, will also reopen but again, only for people going on their own or with own household. Hospitality will be given the green light for reopening but for outdoors purposes only. What do you make of the new rules? . Self contained accommodation - campsites and holiday lets where indoor facilities not shared with other households - can also reopen. People will be able to self catering cottage but only with own household. Funerals can continue with up to 30 people while limits on people at wedding receptions and commemorative events rises from six to 15. STEP THREE - MAY 17 From May 17, at the earliest, the government plans on easing more limits on social contact. This could see most rules lifted outdoors and most social contact rules lifted - including the rule of six and two household limit. However, gatherings of more than 30 people in a park, garden or other outdoor space will still be against the law. Indoor mixing is expected to be allowed again at this point with the rule of 6 or a larger group from a maximum of two households allowed. This will be kept under review to determine whether it is safe to go further with the relaxation. People will also be allowed inside pubs and restaurants again as well as the reopening of entertainment venues such as cinemas, children’s play areas and accommodation (hotels and B&Bs), with indoor adult sports groups and exercise classes allowed again. If meeting friends or family outside of your household inside a pub or restaurant, the rule of six or two households limit applies. Friends will be able to meet indoors again (Image: PA) Larger performances and sporting events with capacity of 1,000 or half full will be allowed. Outdoors, a capacity of 4,000 people, or half full, will be allowed for performances and sporting events. The number in both situations depends on which is smaller. As for large stadiums, up to 10,000 people will be able to attend - or a quarter full, whichever is lower. Up to 30 people able to attend weddings, receptions and wakes as well as funerals and other life events permitted including Bar Mitzvahs and christenings. STEP FOUR - JUNE 21 By June 21 at the earliest, the hope is that all legal limits on social contact can be removed and the reopening of the last closed sectors of the economy - such as nightclubs - can go ahead. It is also hoped that all limits on large events and performances can also be lifted. A decision will be made at this stage on whether all limits can be removed on weddings and other life events. FOUR REVIEWS As well as this, there will be four reviews focusing on different areas of reopening society. The first will look at whether documents that say you have had a vaccine OR a test could help reopen the economy, safely. The second, in April, will involve pilot events with larger crowd sized and reduced social distancing with the use of testing. The third will see the Department For Transport to work on ways of facilitating inbound and outbound travel as soon as possible. However, there is no certainty that international travel won't resume before May 17 at the earliest. The fourth and final review will be of social distancing measures.
