National Highways shared pictures of the ongoing work, which has closed two lanes of the road since 6am on Saturday morning. Emergency repairs to the joint, which allows the bridge to expand and contract safely when the weather changes, first took place in April when the fault was noticed, but more work has now been required. Please allow plenty of extra time for your journey if you're travelling in the area today."
