PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Former Dancing On Ice winner Jake Quickenden has taken a swipe at influencers who went to Dubai during the coronavirus pandemic. Jake, who shot to fame as a contestant on the X Factor,says he could have also gone to the United Arab Emirates but chose not to. The 32-year-old singer had his say while discussing his experience in lockdown with entrepreneur Keely Parsons of the wax melts business Sassy Wax. He said: "It is nice to know that everybody's kind of in their trackies, apart from those b*****s who went to Dubai." "People can rebuild their businesses, people can rebuild their relationships and their mates. We're all trying to do that, apart from the ones who went to Dubai." Jake, who is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Sophie Church, said he was 'annoyed' by influencers who claimed they were working while sunning themselves. He explained: "People said to me 'well you'd go to Dubai if you could' and I'm like 'well I could have' "I could have gone to Dubai but I didn't. Instagram "I chose to listen to what we should have been doing. "I had friends in Dubai I'm not even gonna lie. "I'm not slagging them off because they owned it. "What some people did is say 'we're out here for work' that's what annoyed me.

"What I've realised is people prefer real than fake so my following has gone up by just being myself," he said. "There was a time when I wasn't myself.
"There was a time I used to conform to what I thought other people wanted me to be or what I thought Instagram wanted me to be, whereas really I should just what I think because people respect you for it even if they don't agree with you all the time."

Jake, who won the ITV celeb skating show Dancing On Ice in 2018, said the baby is due 'very, very soon'. He and Sophie took part in the new MTV documentary series Celebrity Bumps: Famous and Pregnant. He said they were able to film with social distancing in place and regular Covid tests. "My life is about to change," he said.
