PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A hailstorm hit the Etihad stadium ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain this evening. The Blues are bidding to reach the Champions League final for the first time tonight. Fans gathered outside the stadium to let off fireworks and shout support to the team as they drove into the ground earlier tonight. Not long after east Manchester was struck by a scattering of hail. Match officials have been out on the pitch to check the conditions ahead of kick off at 8pm. Manchester Evening News football writer Tyrone Marshall described the rain and hail as “relentless”. “Match officials have been out on the pitch to have a look at it but they've gone back in now. “The rain and hail has been relentless and it's still coming down heavily,” he tweeted. Torrential rain fell across Greater Manchester over the Bank Holiday weekend and has continued into Tuesday (May 4). Widespread frost is expected across the UK overnight as the cool start to May continues.
