The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office updated its advice on August 3. According to the FCDO’s advice, face masks still need to be worn by everyone aged six and over when entering medical facilities and other services, including pharmacies. They must also be worn up to the 10th day since the onset of symptoms or a positive test result. Face coverings still need to be worn on public transport in mainland Portugal, as well as on entry to medical facilities, in taxis and private hires and when travelling by air. This applies to children aged nine and under. Proof of a negative Covid test is also required to enter medical facilities in The Azores.
