Seb's grief-stricken mum Abi (Sally Carman) hit out at Nina and said that she blamed HER for the hate attack that saw Seb murdered in a sickening attack by a group of youths. Abi spat out that Nina was a "weirdo" and that she blamed her for Seb's murder, saying: "If you were normal my son wouldn't be in the morgue." It left the shattered Nina - only just released from hospital with her injuries from the attack - believing she must now change her goth appearance. The show ended with Nina saying: "Seb was killed because of who I was so I've decided not to be her anymore." The powerful scenes sparked a huge conversation on Twitter among fans - with many saying that Abi, despite her grief was "bang out of order" for hitting out at Nina. Sophie lost her life after she and boyfriend Robert Maltby were attacked in in Stubbylee Park, Bacup because they were members of the goth subculture.
