The child suffered injuries to his leg and lip during the collision on playing fields, off Kings Road, Oldham, yesterday evening (Thursday August 4). A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and released under investigation. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that they are cracking down on the use of illegal off-road bikes and drafting in more officers, following the incident. Chief Inspector Abigail Cronin for Neighbourhood Partnerships in Oldham said: “My thoughts are with the little boy who has been injured and I hope that he makes a speedy recovery.
