PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Volunteers of a vital service that delivers blood to emergency services are asking for the public's help after their bike was stolen and damaged. On Friday (August 5), a Blood Bike was stolen outside the Stockport home of a volunteer at around 2am. The rider had completed three deliveries during their shift and was at home waiting on-call when a callous thief stole the bike. Thankfully, it was recovered the following morning thanks to a tracking device but the damage caused has left the self funded charity with only with three bikes left to cover the whole of the North West on a 'shoestring' budget. Speaking to the MEN, volunteer and rider Steven Durden said: "It's quite a low thing to do because the bikes are obviously fully marked up with fluorescent paint and Blood Bike markings. I understand there's burglaries all the time but you think even in the mind of a criminal there's a sort of line of morality and I think that's really passed it. "The thing is we're a non-profit and non-funded charity, we rely 100% on donations.

. "On the night in question because that was the only bike on duty we then had to rely on four wheel vehicles for any other emergencies that came through which in fuel and running costs alone costs the charity more. "So the longer we're without the bikes, the more it impacts the costs of the charity because it's all already run on a shoestring."
