PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Andy Burnham has warned of the dangers of pinning all hopes on the vaccine without a functioning test and trace system. Greater Manchester's mayor said Test and Trace will be needed to 'manage our exit route from restrictions'. In a tweet, he said it was time to 'get our eyes back on this ball'. His comments came after Dragon's Den star Deborah Meaden said she hadn't heard a 'peep' out of Test and Trace since her family member tested positive for coronavirus. In a tweet, the businesswoman said: "Family member tested positive for COVID-19 10 days ago and we haven’t heard a peep from Test and Trace. "We are obviously doing our own but what has happened to that eye-wateringly expensive and apparently really important scheme?" Retweeting her post, Mr Burnham wrote: "It feels like Government/media have given up on Test, Trace & Isolate. "All hopes are pinned on vaccination. "This is dangerous. "Even if vaccination goes well, we’ll need functioning Test & Trace to manage our exit route from restrictions. Time to get eyes back on this ball.
