Mr. Bailey says that his plan would give young Londoners access to dedicated professionals who can help them turn their lives around. Mr. Bailey has said he will also hire 8,000 more police officers and reopen 38 police station front counters that he says closed under Sadiq Khan’s administration, repeatedly attacking his opposition’s record on crime. He has called for CCTV to be installed in all of London’s bus shelters, explaining that his youth plan will help young people to have hope, supervision and accountability, which will in turn reduce crime in the capital.
