PremierLeague-News.Com - According to research, the average amount of money it takes to feed a family of four each day is just under £15 - but how far will that money go in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Aldi
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Most Londoners have their favourite supermarkets that they stick to almost religiously. Whether it's the bargain filled aisles of Aldi or the upmarket aesthetic of Sainsbury's, people invariably shop at the supermarket that they perceive gives them the best value for their money. But research shows we could be picking up a lot more our money by shopping elsewhere. According to consumer choice website Nimblefins, the average food budget for a house of four people in the UK comes in at £97 or £13.80 per day. While these figures can't tell the whole story of individual families spending habits, they can give some indication of which supermarkets offer the best value for money across a range of products. With that in mind, we decided to see how far £15 would go in Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi. We decided to buy standard items in each supermarket and would add extra items on to our list if the budget allowed. The standard items were: One portion of meat One portion of fish Three portions of vegetables One portion of fruit Bread Milk This is what we found.
