From her favourite, unheard of dessert to the local food she eats from her property, and the picky Royal Family member who needs a certain meal every time he's served, the Royal Family eating habits are... different to most. So if you want to feel a little more Royal in your meal prep, here's how you can replicate the taste and palette of a literal Queen. But beware - it's pretty posh. He has made the dessert at this location before, and included the local berries in his recipe. He also noted that he once spied the Queen picking berries from the grounds herself. "I walked across [the estate] and saw the Queen and Prince Margaret picking berries and I couldn't believe it. The Queen picking berries in the raspberry cages! "Later in the night the raspberries were on the table and she said 'can you make a dessert tonight using those berries?'" Her favourite dessert is completely rogue If you were expecting Victoria sponge, you'd be dead wrong. The Queen's favourite dessert is a "Framboises St George" which McGrady describes as "a sort of raspberry fool shaped like the English flag". He has made the dish for the Queen multiple times and shared the recipe so others can replicate it. It's prime material for a Royal Wedding street party, that's for sure. Giving the Queen out of season fruit means 'off with your head' "She had strawberries and raspberries every night in summer and she loved it. But if you sent strawberries up to the Queen in January, it's like 'off with your head, off to the tower. I don't want them out of season'. "When they're in season and they're freshly picked at Balmoral, or the apples at Sandringham or the peaches at Windsor - that's what was important to the Queen." She eats burgers in a very weird way Speaking of cooking burgers for the Queen, McGrady said : "They would shoot deer, and we would do venison burgers. “There'd be gorgeous cranberry and everything stuffed into them, but we never set buns out. They would have burgers, but not the buns. So they would eat it with their knife and fork."
Not very cool or casual from the Queen, but we have to accept it - she's probably never even been to McDonalds! She always makes sure Prince Andrew has Crème Brûlée when he stays Whenever her son Prince Andrew is visiting, the Queen makes absolutely sure that his favourite pudding is on the menu. According to Darren McGrady, it's Crème Brûlée with oranges. But not just any oranges. This is the Queen we're talking about - so they're oranges picked especially from Sandringham. In season, of course. The Queen eats Kate Middleton's homemade chutney During Kate's first Christmas at Sandringham - which, if you've seen The Crown, you'll know is an important test - the Duchess was understandably anxious about what to get the Queen as a gift.
