Now, the 21-year old says dance workouts and living a healthy lifestyle have helped her finally drop dress sizes. Amy starred on Channel 4's Gogglebox with her family in their North London home between 2013 and 2018. While on the show Amy gained the support of many fans, but she also received abuse for her weight. Amy told The Sun: “Having fans has been a great feeling but you get trolls saying horrible things too. “They target me about my weight.” Speaking about her time on the show, she said: “People genuinely thought I sat there watching TV all day — as if that was my life, as if I didn’t ever go to school. “They thought that all I ever did was sit on the couch eating chocolate and sweets, or that I was just oblivious to the fact I was big and overweight. “When I was 13, I would spend hours lying in bed scrolling through the negative comments. "I would look at every single one of them, seeing what people would compare me to and never looked at the positive ones.” Amy, a hairdresser, still lives with her family in their home in Edgware. She has battled with her weight since she was eight years old, but had no success despite trying 'every diet under the sun'. She told The Sun: "It’s not because of what I’ve been brought up on, but a lot of people probably look at me and think that.

. I started with Slimming World then did shakes and bars. I have done no carbs and have just lived off chicken and veg.”

The biggest issue seemed to be that experts would give her contradicting advice. She continued: “It makes you question what is right and what is wrong: Who do I trust and are they saying the right things? “But I’ve always been aware of what I eat and have never enjoyed junk food.” The secret to her current success is dance workouts and a healthy lifestyle. She said: “I have been doing quite a lot of dance workouts at home, every day. They’re 25 minutes long on YouTube. “It is exercising to a beat and gets you going." When she's not dancing, Amy does yoga and sometimes adds in squats while she brushes her teeth.
