Thousands of people flooded into the central areas of the capital with places like Borough Market and London Fields seeing high numbers of visitors. Unfortunately, the warm weather also coincided with a string of crimes in a weekend that saw 10 people arrested. There were instances of dangerous driving, shocking public brawls and most chillingly of all an attack on a police officer. Here's a full round up of London's weekend of crime. Eight arrested in stop and search incident Eight people were arrested on Sunday night (February 21) after an incident in Barking. Police put a Section 60 stop and search order in place across the area after a man was discovered suffering from a 'slash' wound. The Section 60 allows police greater stop and search powers. According to Barking and Dagenham MPS, officers were called at 6pm to Gurney Close in Barking.

Barking and Dagenham MPS tweeted: "Eight males have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. "We were called at 6pm to Gurney Close, Barking. "They found a male suffering a slash injury to his arm. His condition is not critical. "Anyone with info pls call 101 ref 5021/21feb. "A Section 60 has been authorised."
