PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! The Manchester United fans who organised Sunday's protest were quite canny. They know that fixture is the biggest one in the country, watched by the most supporters across the UK and the world, and the two clubs with the largest worldwide fanbases in the Premier League. You're talking about hundreds of millions across the planet when you talk about Manchester United and Liverpool. Globally, it's up there with Real Madrid against Barcelona, El Clasico, so if you want to get noticed with some sort of protest, then that is the game to do it. I think that is something the fans have thought about whether it is right or wrong what they did. That might have been the one that has pushed them over the edge, but Manchester United fans have wanted to do this for a long, long time. Let's get it right, from Liverpool's point of view, fans will be delighted the Glazers are in charge of their rivals. They have mismanaged them for so long and they have run the club the wrong way. They are not good owners. Liverpool fans have been down that road before, of course. They ran Tom Hicks and George Gillett, two clowns who never cared about this club, out of town because we are militant in this city and that is the way it has always been. Adversity has always been in the face of this city and we have always fought against it. This is United's way of doing that, whether you think it is right or wrong, and it has had the desired effect. Whether they now sell the club, I don't know. Liverpool ECHO stands against hate The Liverpool ECHO is proud to stand in solidarity with everyone who faces hate and discrimination online. Our sports social media accounts will be silent from 3pm on Friday 30 April to 11.59pm on Monday 3 May. We stand with football against hate. Unfortunately we have seen too many incidences of abuse on social media towards players, officials and many others involved with the game we love and not enough is done to punish those responsible. We will of course continue to create the news, match reaction and analysis you enjoy. We just won't be sharing this on our social media channels during this time. You can still keep on top of the latest news around Everton or Liverpool by signing up to our e-mail updates. You can also discuss the story you have just read in our comments section below. I don't think anyone will have a spare two or three billion pounds in their pocket to buy the club to be honest. And of course there were always going to be a few yobs who jumped on it. All football clubs have people like that, who act inappropriately, but this is entirely a Manchester United thing. Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City and, from our perspective, Liverpool should not be associated with what went on there at Old Trafford on Sunday.

. When the game goes ahead now is anyone's guess isn't it? If they fit it in it will probably have to be squeezed in and it will have to suit Liverpool. But nothing suits Liverpool at the moment. For the rest of the season, they have three or four days rest in between, something which they haven't always been able to have at times. So if they have to replay the match it might even be a case of playing two games in three days, that is the only way I can see them fitting it in before the end of the season. Do you play it then? That is probably not fair because Liverpool will know what they do and don't need, so I can't see that happening. The fans haven't looked at the fixtures to see when it can be replayed if the games is stopped and postponed. Do the Premier League give Liverpool the points? That is probably not the right thing to do, but it is up to them to decide what happens now. If Liverpool were to beat them on Sunday then it would have meant the Premier League title for Man City, which would have hurt United, no doubt. It would have hurt Liverpool too. In the main, this protest has not come from a few idiots who have been throwing things, it's from Manchester United fans who are switched on and astute. Liverpool have fans like that too and we've seen that before, they can mobilise and make a statement if they feel something isn't right. I wouldn't be happy if our club was in the hands of owners like the Glazers and let's be honest, we've been there before, haven't we? And, of course, there are always idiots in the bunch and Liverpool have had it before when they've had some people who claim to be fans throwing stuff at other teams' buses. They have almost spoiled it for the ones who were looking to make a peaceful and powerful statement over the state of the game and their club right now. That is not what we want at all. Certainly the end result, to get noticed, is what they set out to achieve and they didn't care about Liverpool being impacted in it all. In years gone by Alex Ferguson would have had them in the dressing room before the game telling them they could stop Liverpool getting Champions League football, so it's not like the game was a nothing one for them either. Obviously it mattered a bit more to Liverpool as they are going for the Champions League places, but they definitely had a carrot dangled for it. Man City are going to win the league now anyway, so a win for Liverpool would have just been the final nail in the United coffin as far as their title hopes go. Liverpool just have to move on now as a club and see what happens. It doesn't look like they are going to get Champions League football now and it was a must-win game for Jurgen on Sunday. They have just got to look after themselves now and let's forget about what happened at Manchester United. If it's replayed then it's replayed, but I don't think Liverpool should lose too much sleep worrying about what is happening at Manchester United. Good luck Rovers It looks like Tranmere are going into the playoffs, so I just wish them all the very best for that. It would be great to see them back into League One next season and they have every chance. Another one of my old teams, Newport County, are in there too so I just hope they don't draw each other! Best of luck to both of those.
