PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A man was hacked with a machete as he stood at the front door of a house in a shocking attack. Emergency services were called to Lord Street, in Southport, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday as horrified witnesses watched the incident unfold. The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to hospital by a bystander and found to have cuts to his hand and arm. Road closures were quickly put in place at the scene as officers cordoned off the road and launched an investigation into the attack. In a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Officers in Southport are investigating after a man was reportedly wounded this afternoon, (Wednesday, January 13). "At around 5.10pm, officers were called to Lord Street to reports of a man in his 50s being assaulted and then presenting at hospital with wounds to his arm and hand, initially believed to be from a machete type weapon.
