PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Jurors in a murder trial today heard an emotional 999 call made moments after a man was shot in his kitchen. Michael Rainsford was struck by two bullets fired through a back window of his Litherland home in April of last year. Within seconds Josh Rainsford had dialled 999 to tell the call handler: "My brother’s just been shot." Urging for help to be sent immediately, the teenager told the operator he had no idea who was behind attack - adding he “just heard a bang through the window... we don’t even know if we are safe”. After hearing the gunshots - fired through two separate panes of glass in a kitchen window - neighbours saw an electric bike leaving the scene. Prosecutors allege that bike was a Sur Ron vehicle bought by James Foy and that it had carried him and his brother, Michael, to Mr Rainsford's Harrington Road home. While only the sound of the blasts was caught on CCTV, footage captured males on an electric bike riding around Kirkstone Road North and then Moss Lane, close to Harrington Road.

Flowers left for Michael Rainsford, on Harrington Road, in Litherland (Image: Liverpool Echo) The prosecution case is that the men were the Foys and that they had met less than hour before the shooting, linking up in Waterloo before heading to their Rossini Street home, where a window was smashed at around 10.14pm. Mr Rainsford, who the jury have been told was not involved in that incident, was shot 53 minutes later. Before he was attacked a social media account that has been linked to James Foy streamed a video that included the words: “Tell ye mar duck don’t use bricks.” Two "flashing" symbols accompanied the post, along with an image that included part of an electric bike including a distinctive key fob said to have matched the one on the key given to James when he bought his electric bike. Michael Foy, 22, and James Foy, 19, deny murder, possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of ammunition without a certificate in relation to Mr Rainsford's death. James also denies a separate allegation of possession of a prohibited firearm in connection with an incident in Bootle in 2019. Their mum, Joyce Smith, 46 and of Rossini Street, Andrea Saunderson, 48 and also of Rossini Street, and the brothers' uncle, Craig Johnson, 39 and of Willard Drive in Bootle, each deny perverting the course of justice.
