PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Exploratory work is set to begin at the site of the now-closed-down Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. The work will begin with the aim of finalising the design and development of the Marine Lake Events Centre which reportedly set to cost an eye-watering £75m ahead of work beginning next year after the business case was approved last week. Letters have now been sent to people in the area to explain that the work will start on the existing STCC building as well as the Upper Promenade on Monday, August 8. The work is expected to take four weeks and will take place Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm. The work will involve assessing the underground conditions in an attempt to progress the design further. Sefton Council has confirmed that measures will be put in place to minimise disruption to people and businesses in the area.
