PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A young mum walking with her young son was reportedly followed by a driver who tried to lure them into his car using sweets. Amy Hewitt said she was walking with her son in St Helens on Thursday, April 1 in St Helens when the incident took place. Amy told the ECHO she was walking down Chamberlain Street around 5.30pm when she noticed a car was following her. The driver is then said to have mounted the kerb in an attempt to prevent the mum from walking away. Amy said she managed to escape and the driver of the Ford Focus C-max sped away down Roscoe Street and then back up Chamberlain Road. Amy said: "Occurrences like this make me feel like nowhere is safe for children or young mums. I’m always nervous when taking my son out now an get extremely anxious when I have someone behind me." Amy reported the incident to police when she got home, although she now believes the car the man was driving was a Ford Focus C-max, not a Ford Galaxy as she originally reported. She believes there may have also been two other men in the back of the car, but describes the driver as white, in his 40s, with mousey brown hair and a stocky build.

"Around 7.30pm, we received a report of a woman walking with her young son on Chamberlain Street earlier on (around 5pm) when a man driving a dark blue Ford Galaxy mounted the kerb ahead of them and spoke to them, in an apparent attempt to lure them into the vehicle. He then drove off. "The man was described as white, in his 40s, with mousey brown hair and a stocky build. Enquiries are ongoing."
