PremierLeague-News.Com - People won't be encouraged to return to offices for quite some time under the roadmap
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Prime Minister Boris Johnson has unveiled his four stage roadmap out of lockdown, with reopening dates for schools, pubs and shops all revealed. The Prime Minister has outlined key dates for when places can reopen and people can see their family and friends. Mr Johnson has also laid out when people could be able to go on holiday, both in the UK and abroad. But what wasn't so clear in the roadmap is when people may be able to return to their workplaces. Many office workers have been working from home for almost a year now, following the coronavirus lockdown and social distancing measures. Mr Johnson said yesterday he hopes to relax all lockdown rules by June 21, with many people wondering if this means a return to the office by summer. Under the roadmap on March 29 people will be able to see six people in their garden or outdoors, but many lockdown rules will remain. When do you think working from home rules should be lifted? .UK website said: "At this point, the Stay at Home order will end, although many lockdown restrictions will remain. "For example, you should continue to work from home where possible, and overseas travel remains banned." Under Step 2 on April 12 people are still encouraged to work from home where possible. The roadmap said: "People should continue to work from home where they can." Under Step 3 on May 17 people are again encouraged to continue to work from home. The roadmap said: "The Government will continue to advise the public to work from home where they can." Find your nearest vaccination centre by entering your postcode below
But before Step 4 takes place on June 21 the government are planning to conduct a review into social distancing and working from home. The roadmap said: "Ahead of Step 4, as more is understood about the impact of vaccines on transmission and a far greater proportion of the population has been vaccinated, the Government will complete a review of social distancing measures and other long-term measures that have been put in place to limit transmission. "The results of the review will help inform decisions on the timing and circumstances under which rules on 1m+, face masks and other measures may be lifted. "The review will also inform guidance on working from home but people should continue to work from home where they can until this review is complete." So it looks likely that people will be working from home for some months yet, with a return to work dependant on the government review in June.
