PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A Liverpool barber said he was looking forward to welcoming back customers after it was confirmed today that hairdressers would be among the non-essential shops to be reopening from next Monday. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson at a Downing Street press conference this afternoon. In common with others, Boardwalk Barbershop in Belle Vale shopping centre has been shut since the start of the year because of lockdown restrictions. Owner Ste Gaynor said: "Getting back to work and actually being able to see the lads, who are more mates than clients, is going to be great. "It's been a long three months of lockdown so getting back to some normality and back to a daily routine will be welcomed. "I have a really close relationship with the lads who come to the shop, it's more like a social gathering than a haircut, so getting to chat with the lads will feel like our lives are hopefully starting to come back to reality. "The mundane day to day life of lockdown has been hard so getting the opportunity to get back to work will be a massive help to my mental health. "The lads who come to the shop have been phenomenal with their offers and generosity since the beginning of this lockdown. A huge amount of them have offered to pay for their next haircuts now, so I have some type of income, seeing as my next set of furlough won't come until the middle/end of April. "Since January I've not had any furlough, as per the self employed scheme, so these last few months have been difficult. Fingers crossed we never have to go into another lockdown and I can now continue to work in a job which I absolutely love."
In a press conference held this afternoon at Downing Street, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said shops, hairdressers and pub beer gardens will reopen from April 12 in England as part of the "roadmap" out of lockdown. But he warned people must not be complacent about the risks still posed by coronavirus.
