The Merseyside-based producers of By The Waters Of Liverpool planned the show ahead of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's roadmap to reopen the country was revealed last night. Based on the autobiography by Helen Forrester, the musical is a sequel to the well-loved Twopence to Cross the Mersey. It is set in the 1930s after Helen’s father went bankrupt during the Depression.
