Rovers have picked up two wins, a draw and suffered one defeat in their opening four fixtures, while they were knocked out of the League Cup by Blackburn Rovers.
Ennis, a graduate of the Wolves academy, is yet to establish himself among Nuno Espirito Santo’s senior side at Molineux, with just one first-team appearance under his belt.
He made his debut from the substitutes’ bench against Shrewsbury Town in an FA Cup clash back in 2019.
