PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! 1726717401">Kevin Phillips “would be very surprised” if Marcelo Bielsa does not put pen to paper on a new Leeds United contract. Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Sunderland and England striker suggested the 65-year-old would want to stay at Elland Road for at least another year with fans expected to return to stadiums next season. Bielsa’s current deal with the Whites expires at the end of the 2020-21 campaign. As reported by Leeds Live, the Argentinian refused to be drawn on whether he would sign a new deal in the build-up to Saturday’s 2-0 loss against Brighton. Phillips is confident that Bielsa will sign an extension as he looks “very happy” at the Yorkshire club. “I do not think anyone knows if he will sign a new deal,” he told Football Insider.

It is such an exciting time to be a part of Leeds, especially with crowds back in stadiums next season. I would want to be a part of that and I’m sure he will to. “I would be very surprised if he didn’t put pen to paper.”
