Cornwall news Prince Charles won't allow Andrew to make a comeback, expert claims UK news
PremierLeague-News.Com - Cornwall - The Duke of York has reportedly been hoping to get back into the royal fold despite scandal but a commentator says Charles won't let that happen
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Prince Charles will dash any hopes Andrew may have of making a comeback when he becomes king, a royal expert has said. The Duke of York's reputation has been hugely damaged in recent years, but it is thought that despite this he has ambitions to return to the centre of royal life, the Express reports. Prince Andrew was stripped of his titles and is no longer a working member of the Royal Family because of his friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. And earlier this year he settled a civil claim for sexual abuse against him by Virginia Giuffre for an unconfirmed sum, said to be around $12 million. The Duke of York has consistently denied the allegations. But it has been claimed that he hopes to use his two daughters as a way of getting back into the fold. Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti however believes that is unlikely to work. . I think that corresponds with an era when we're seeing the Royal Family slim down anyway, in terms of who's put out there to do a lot of public work. "I think that the Queen has divided more of her role to the next generations in order to alleviate the burden on her at her old age, and that is entirely reasonable. In due course when Prince Charles is the Monarch I think we will see even more steps to slim down the working Royal Family. "Part of the reason for that will be to avoid any controversies about individuals or to avoid putting anyone out there who they feel might not command the same level of respect that the Monarch themselves commands. And I think part of the reason will be just a modernisation that is deemed responsible and sensible." He added: "There isn't maybe the appetite for such a large working Royal Family anymore. Many of them will continue to do good work, but quietly, I think, without as much attention. "And I think that anyway, Prince Andrew will fall into that wider effort to try to focus things more on key important members of family at the top and allow others to blend a bit more into the background."
