PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A whole town in Cornwall is currently completely gridlocked following a serious accident earlier this morning. The A39 has been closed in both directions since around 9.30am today. A van and a pedestrian collided on the A39 at Penryn between the A394 at Treliever Roundabout to Kernick Roundabout and one person has been taken to hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries. Traffic is trying to divert but as a result all routes are congested. Inrix is reporting that Church Road and Falmouth Road are particularly gridlocked. The road remains closed in both directions and is expected to be for sometime. Congestion to all routes through Penryn as traffic tries to divert.

." Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian on the A39 at Treilever, Penryn, at around 9.35am today, Friday 24 June. "One person has been seriously injured and emergency services are on the scene. Local road closures have been put in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area. The incident is ongoing."
