PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Fake text messages about vaccinations from people claiming to work for the NHS have been in circulation recently among residents in Cornwall. The NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group, which organises primary care including vaccines on a local level, has warned the public to be vigilant after several scams have been linked to the fake texts. The messages ask people for payment and personal details as ‘proof’ that the recipient is eligible for the Coronavirus vaccine. It will usually tell the person it is their turn to have the vaccine, and request the information via a link in the text which takes them to an unsecure website. Dr Iain Chorlton, GP and chairman of NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “We’re all very worried to hear that these fraudulent messages are in circulation and shocked that whoever is behind them is trying to take advantage of some of our most vulnerable people at what is already an anxious time for many people. “If you or a loved one receives a text message which looks suspicious, and crucially, asks for bank details - please ignore it.

Not only is it illegal but it is also cruel.” Some of the best ways to avoid falling foul of a scam like this are: Spot typos, spelling errors, and grammar mistakes They often don’t address you by your actual name Look - is there an unfamiliar landline area code? Request NHS identification Remember that the NHS will never ask for payment details for a vaccine, or for anything else for that matter
