PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Drone footage over Truro has shown the extent of an enormous fire which broke out earlier today by Boscawen Park. The blaze began just after 11am today (August 6). The cause is not yet known. More than 30 calls to Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service have been recorded as well as more to the police. Fire crews from Truro, Tolvaddon and St Austell scrambled to the scene. Updates from the fire service at 12.30pm and 1.30pm revealed an increasing emergency service presence, and as of 3pm more than 40 firefighters remained at Boscawen Park trying to keep the blaze under control. Police are also on the scene with a drone attempting to assess the extent of the fire. Live updates on the fire can be found here Mark Sherris, fire incident manager who is leading the operation on the scene, said the fire is still being tackled. He confirmed that while no one is hurt and no one's house is at risk of being burned down, the incident is not yet over. He said: "We've requested more resources, seven appliances now, as well as specialists alongside it. We are also here with colleagues from Devon and Cornwall Police too.

The road remains blocked as of 4pm after firefighters became frustrated with motorists running over the hose reels. A further update from the fire service reads: "Update 1500hrs - Cornwall Fire and Rescue remain on scene at this incident. This is a wildfire involving pine trees, grass fire and mixed high and low vegetation. Crews are working under extreme heat and uneven surfaces to contain and extinguish the fire. Hose reel jets and beaters are in use. "In total, there are 7 Appliances, 1 Water Carrier, 2 Officers, 1 Incident Command Unit and 1 Light Vehicle on scene, with the total number of crew members in attendance exceeding 40. 36 calls were received by Critical Control to this incident."
