PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! “I never gave up and I want you all to know,” yelled Diana Ross towards the climax of her long-awaited Eden Session performance – which had been postponed a year because of the pandemic. Diana Ross is one of the most successful recording artists and entertainers of all time. From her landmark solo career to the early days as the leader of The Supremes, the superstar has helped shape the sound of popular music. So the chance to see her at a venue as special as the Eden Project might seem amiss to many. She has an astounding career total of 70 hit singles, including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out, Stop! In The Name of Love, Upside Down, I’m Still Waiting and Chain Reaction. Her latest album Thank You was released to critical acclaim last November. From the second she arrived on stage donning a vibrant green feathery shawl over a sequined jumpsuit, the crowds were in awe at the presence of this woman as she took decades of devoted fans on an emotional rollercoaster through her best anthems while urging the crowd to dance, saying: “If I can move like this, then you can move.” The setlist aptly began with I’m Coming Out, before she rolled back the years with a string of classics – and some covers. But what brought the whole audience to a standstill was Stop! In the Name of Love. If you closed your eyes you could picture yourself right back in her heyday. As Ross said in her own words: “I’ve still got the moves.” Ross followed two critically-acclaimed back-to-back Sessions from My Chemical Romance last month (May 2022), Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and two shows from Nine Inch Nails. Still to play at this year’s Eden Sessions are Bryan Adams (June 29) and Stereophonics (July 5).
