Emergency services were dispatched to Tolcarne Beach in Newquay at around 12.45pm on Wednesday after receiving reports that a body had been spotted. Devon and Cornwall Police went to the scene along with ambulance, Coastguard and RNLI crews to the beach, with the officers also having a presence at Lusty Glaze beach. . A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 12.45pm on Wednesday, January 13, with reports that a body had been found at Tolcarne Beach, Newquay. "Emergency services including the coastguard attended the scene where a male was pronounced deceased. "His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. "His next-of-kin have been informed."
