PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A 12-year-old boy has become one of the youngest people ever to appear before a criminal court in Cornwall. The boy, from Saltash, cannot be named due to his age but recently appeared at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced for a total of five offences. The first of which took place in Wadebridge on May 9 of this year when the defendant damaged a car. Then, on July 4 in Bodmin, he assaulted a male and damaged a property’s front door. The following day, he assaulted two further males in Camelford and stole a bottle of vodka from Spar.

. Sentencing, magistrates referred the defendant to the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly youth offender panel for nine months in a bid to address his behaviour. No compensation was ordered because there was no parent present in court to conduct a means enquiry. Children between 10 and 17 can be arrested and taken to court if they commit a crime.
