PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A number of police officers were called to a report of 'potential intruders' in a Poynton house - but it turned out to be a robotic hoover. In the early hours of Tuesday (May 12) police were called to the Brookfield Avenue, Chester Road area of the town to a report of potential intruders in a house. However, when officers arrived to the scene they found it was the homeowners' 'pesky' robotic hoover which had switched itself on and was 'heard banging into things'. Posting about the incident on Facebook, Poynton West and Adlington police said people might think it was 'waste of police time', however praised the occupants for calling them due to a spate of burglaries in the area. They said: "In the early hours of this morning you may have heard/seen a number of officers in the Brookfield Avenue/Chester Road area.

. It turned out that the occupants pesky robotic hoover had switched itself on and could be heard banging into things. "To some this may seem like a waste of police time but with recent burglaries in the area the occupant did absolutely the right thing by calling us believing someone was in their house." The force finished the statement with a joke saying the hoover was 'unable to make a clean getaway'. They said: "You will be pleased to know that due to the officers prompt attendance the hoover was unable to make a clean getaway."
