The government confirmed that on Monday, April 12, the roadmap out of lockdown is on track and non-essential shops, gyms and hairdressers can reopen. Pubs and restaurants serving outside can also reopen as planned next Monday. Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port, which is managed by McArthurGlen, will welcome premium fitness brand lululemon as it reopens to shoppers next week. Founded in Vancouver, Canada, lululemon is an experiential sportswear brand, offering innovative products for yoga, running, training and other sweaty pursuits designed for and with athletes in mind. Spanning 2099 sq. ft, the store will showcase the brand’s latest technical collections for women, supporting a variety of exercise from running to yoga to gym training. . This includes reduced visitor capacities and opening hours from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sundays, to support social distancing. Cheshire Oaks has increased the cleaning of high touch point areas throughout the centre with disinfectant including door handles, rest rooms and store entrances. The centre toilets will be cleaned every 30 minutes and hand sanitisers will be available for guests to use in common areas. Traffic and centre capacity updates will be shared via the centre’s social channels to allow guests to plan their visit beforehand. They have also launched 'By Appointment' which allows customers to book shopping times in stores to help support shoppers in finding the quieter times to visit.
Capacity restrictions will be in place to manage the volume of guests visiting the centre, including working with the Cheshire Police and Cheshire West and Chester Council on the traffic management plan to assist in controlling car park capacity and road network flow. Social distancing and hygiene measures remain active ahead of the reopening, with markers to remind shoppers of the recommended two-metre social distancing guidance. Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet updates individual brand’s pages on its website regularly - and will continue to do so after reopening - so encourages customers to check online for further information when planning their visit. Guests will also be required to wear face coverings in stores in line with government restrictions unless exempt and are highly recommended to wear them in the external open-air malls.
