PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! An investigation has been launched after a fire at a takeaway in Chester. Firefighters were called to the blaze at the ground floor premises on Kingsway at just after 5pm on Monday. Two people, who were suspected to have inhaled smoke, were assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not need to go to hospital. Crews were in attendance for about three hours as they extinguished the fire and made sure it had not spread to the adjacent flats. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 5.10pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a ground floor takeaway in Kingsway, Chester. "On arrival crews discovered that the fire involved an extractor fan and its ducting and no-one was unaccounted for. "The gas and electricity supplies to the building were isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet. "Firefighters needed to cut away plasterboard wall and part of a ceiling to expose the extractor fan's ducting and hotspots. A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots, which were damped down to make them safe.

"Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that the fire was fully out and the properties were safe. They were in attendance for around three hours. "An investigation into the cause of the fire has begun."
