PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A popular pub in Ellesmere Port damaged by floods has been forced to delay its reopening. The Chimneys in Hooton was surrounded by floodwater back in January thanks to Storm Christoph, which caused severe flooding around Cheshire. At the time the landlords of the country pub said staff and locals were 'devastated' to see the building surrounded by water. The venue had hoped to open on May 17 in time for indoor dining as coronavirus restrictions are set to ease.

It said it hopes to reopen late July and will keep punters posted and the team is working on a 'total remodel' of the venue A spokesperson for the pub said: "Unfortunately we are having to delay the re-opening of our beautiful pub! "We would have loved to have been able to open our doors once again on May 17th, however the damage from the flood is more severe than we first imagined. "Nevertheless our team and contractors are working hard behind the scenes to fulfil a total remodel of our building, bringing you an even better Chimneys experience when complete. "Our plan for re-opening will hopefully be late July but we will keep everyone posted."
