A ‘Welcome Back’ rave at a Bristol nightclub sold out of first and second release tickets within hours of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's lockdown announcement yesterday. The event - hosted by Ramshackle based at Bristol’s O2 Academy - was advertised on its Facebook page yesterday when the Prime Minister said we could see nightclubs reopen and all Covid restrictions lift on June 21. The event hosts have stated on their website that an additional charge may be required on entry to the event ‘for a Covid test if required by government guidelines.’ The first release tickets sold at £3, and second release tickets sold at £5, have both sold out. But it looks like tickets might be available on the door - if the event goes ahead as planned. The full post reads: “Did we hear it right? Nightclubs to reopen from the 21st of June? Join us on Friday 25th of June for our Welcome Back Rave at the O2 Academy Bristol! Ramshackle was approached for comment. It comes as the Prime Minister unveiled his road map for lifting coronavirus restrictions yesterday (February 22.) He said he hopes to lift all of the legal limits on social contact by June 21 and hopes to reopen those final closed sectors of the economy, some of which didn’t open last summer - e.g. nightclubs.
