PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Temperature may be inching up over the next few days but another blast of Arctic air is on its to the UK this weekend. After a few days respite the cold air is due to hit the country on Friday and Saturday and stay for a few days. And some say the coldest start to April in a decade is set to continue until April 19. But does that mean the residents of Somerset, Bristol and Gloucestershire will be battling through hail and snow to reach the shops when lockdown eases on April 12. Certainly it will be far too cold for all but the hardiest to sit in a pub garden when they open on Monday. But it seems that despite the mercury struggling to reach double figures, it will not be snowing when lockdown eases next week. Overnight temperatures could dip to a low of minus 2C in some remote areas of the South West, but the white stuff is unlikely to travel down from the north of England. We asked the Met Office about the chances for snow over the weekend and into early next week when the Arctic weather is due to return to the UK after a brief respite for a few days. "Although the weather is about to take a turn on Friday with the return of Arctic Air, it looks increasingly likely that temperatures in the South West will hold up and there are no signals for snow." said the forecaster.

. "We are telling people to expect some frost if the temperature drops overnight but the wintry showers are already easing off. "The wintry elements coming into the north from Friday into Sunday do not seem to have much momentum to get too far south." Across the UK Wednesday and Sunday this week are predicted to be much colder across England, than on the same day in any year since 2010. In Bristol daytime temperatures are predicted to rise from 8C today to 11C on Monday and night time temperatures are not expect to rise over 5C. Any tender plants bought when the garden centres reopen will need to be protected. It is in stark contrast to last year when the UK was basking in a warm April as lockdown rules began to ease across England. But at least the South West could escape the worse of the cold snap which will see wintry conditions in the north of the UK until least April 19. "It looks like the temperature will be going back up to the average for April and there are no signals for snow," said the spokesman when asked what next week's weather was looking like. "Of course there is always the slight chance of a light dusting over Dartmoor and it could be cold and frosty overnight, particularly in remote areas, but we are not expecting to see widespread wintry showers."
