PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Brislington has the second highest Covid case rate in the South West, but cases in other Bristol neighbourhoods are continuing to drop, according to the latest coronavirus data. The figures show Brislington's infection rate remains among England's worst with a rate of 465, despite dropping to 365 the previous week. This is the second worst rate in the South West, after St James’s Park and Hoopern in Exeter which has a rate of 511, according to the latest seven day figures. See here for more information about why Brislington has such high case rates. While specific neighbourgoods may be recording higher rates, the government data shows no local authority in the region is recording a higher rate than Bristol. But looking at the city as a whole, cases in other areas of the city are falling, with Brislington the only neighbourhood in Bristol recording a rate above 400. After a steep rise at the beginning of January , the city's rate now stands at 131, with 54 coronavirus cases recorded as of Sunday (February 21) compared to 58 the week before. It comes as Bristol’s coronavirus surge testing programme has come to an end, but Collect and Drop sites will still be open for drop-off until this Wednesday (February 24). Over 36,500 tests have been completed across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, according to Bristol City Council. Boris Johnson will be making an announcement today at 3.30pm to outline how and when lockdown restrictions in England will relax.
