PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Here are your latest Wolves headlines on Thursday, June 23... Benfica make move for Enzo Fernandez Wolves must move quickly to sign Enzo Fernandez after Benfica struck a deal with River Plate to land the midfielder. Fernandez has been identified as a candidate to fill the 'box-to-box' vacancy within Bruno Lage's midfield and Wolves are prepared to meet his buy-out clause at River Plate. Wolves want Fernandez to join them now, whereas the Argentine wants to stay at River to help them win the Copa Libertadores. Benfica are reportedly willing to leave Fernandez in Argentina until River's involvement in the Copa Libertadores ends. It's claimed they have agreed to pay €18million for 75 percent of Fernandez's rights, with River retaining a 25 percent sell-on clause. All that remains is for Fernandez to accept Benfica's proposal at this stage. Wolves would need to offer the same deal to sway the 21-year-old. Hoever has fallen out of favour at Wolverhampton Wanderers under Bruno Lage and the club have been looking to offload him this summer. Wolves are open to a loan or permanent exit for Hoever, 20, and PSV have stepped forward. The right-back only made eight appearances in the Premier League last season and hasn't featured under Lage since being called out by the Wolves boss for his poor preparation in March. Hoever suffered an injury in the opening stages of a defeat to Crystal Palace and Lage blasted the defender's application in his post-match press conference. Hoever has been frustrated by his lack of playing time under the Portuguese after being signed from Liverpool for around £10million in 2020. Hoever played fewer games under Lage than he did in 2020/21 while Nuno Espirito Santo was head coach at Molineux.

Gabigol wants Prem move Wolverhampton Wanderers are the latest Premier League club to be linked with a move for Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa. Samba star Barbosa - more commonly known as Gabigol - is expected to return to Europe in the near future after his failed stint at Inter Milan. Gabigol was on Inter’s books for four years, but he spent the majority of that time on loan at Brazilian clubs Santos and Flamengo. He fired Flamengo to the Copa Libertadores title in 2019 and made his transfer permanent the following year. Gabigol has scored 54 goals in 84 Brazilian top flight matches for Flamengo, while his record in the Copa Libertadores reads 25 goals in 36 games. Aston Villa were heavily linked with a move for Gabigol in the January transfer window, while West Ham, Newcastle United, Everton and Arsenal have all recently been tipped as potential destinations for the 25-year-old. Now Wolves, who are keen to sign a new centre-forward this summer, are reportedly looking to at Gabigol. Reports claim Wolves officials are jetting to South America in a bid to wrap up deals for Gabigol and Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez. Gabigol reportedly has his heart set on a move to the Premier League and he's revealed his plan to follow in Brazil teammate Roberto Firmino's footsteps. Back in 2019, Gabigol told the Daily Mail: "Firmino is great, I really admire him. He's been successful for many years in Europe. He is a powerful forward and he has been great for Brazil. He is an inspiration that I look up to. "It would be a pleasure to play with him. Maybe we could team up for Brazil in the future and Liverpool is a team that everyone wants to play for."
