PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Whisper it quietly, but there seems to be a very good chance Fosun will sign the player Wolverhampton Wanderers have been craving in this summer’s transfer window. There is still doubt over Ruben Neves’ future, although top suitor Barcelona aren’t currently in a position to finance the deal, while there is also no certainty over Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker right now either. Moutinho remains in contract talks, and Wolves are ‘hopeful’ that an agreement can be reached. Dendoncker, on the other hand, has 12 months remaining on his contract and there’s a chance Wolves would sell the Belgian if the right offer arrived. READ: Who is Enzo Fernandez? Wolves chief 'arrives' in Argentina to discuss transfer READ: Enzo Fernandez has already told Wolves his 'dream' transfer Even Bruno Lage doesn’t currently know what his midfield will be on August 6 when Wolves face Leeds United. It is, however, looking increasingly likely that Wolves’ engine room will feature at least one new face at Elland Road. That is because Wolves’ recruitment team, guided by Lage, are pushing to sign the box-to-box midfielder they have been lacking. The two players at the top of their list are Matheus Nunes and Enzo Fernandez. Both players are coveted around the world and neither will be easy to sign, but Wolves have put themselves in the mix. First for Sporting midfielder Nunes, who is one of the most sought after players in the Primeira Liga. Wolves are reportedly willing to break their transfer record to land Nunes, who is advised by Jorge Mendes. Portugal international Nunes is currently on holiday in Rio de Janeiro, the city of his birth, and will decide his future upon his return. Wolves aren’t waiting around and could potentially secure a cheaper alternative in the form of Argentine midfielder Fernandez.

. South American football expert Tim Vickery says of Fernandez: “Classy and versatile, he is involved in all phases of play - winning the ball, setting up the moves and finishing.” Fernandez’s impressive scoring record, albeit in the Argentine Primera Division, could give him the edge over Nunes. Fernandez has scored eight goals and registered five assists in the league this calendar year, following on from two goals and three assists during River's title-winning campaign in 2021. The Argentina World Cup hopeful knows where the net is. Nunes, in comparison, has managed five league goal contributions in each of the last two seasons. The Portuguese will also cost twice as much as Fernandez, whose buy-out clause at River Plate stands at just €20million (£17m). Irrespective of price tags, both Nunes and Fernandez would give Wolves’ midfield a new dimension. Wolves now just have to get one of them through the door.
