PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! We’re just 11 days into this summer transfer window and Steven Gerrard is chuffed with the business that’s already been done to bring in Robin Olsen, Diego Carlos, Boubacar Kamara and Philippe Coutinho. The head coach is still hopeful of adding options at left-back, in midfield and up front, while shipping out Villa’s fringe players remains high on the agenda ahead of pre-season training. Here, BirminghamLive’s Aston Villa correspondent Ashley Preece sat down with supporters to discuss what next in this summer window. Scoring sensation Cameron Archer featured heavily throughout the debate with the 20-year-old set to play a big part in pre-season under head coach Gerrard. Here’s our latest transfer transcript. Do you think Cameron Archer ends up on loan or do you think he stays? UTV. Ashley says: Gerrard wants three more ins at left-back, midfield and striker. Tour starts after the Walsall match next month... Villa now working overtime to ship out AEG, Trez and others. Players still on holiday. Expecting a lot more movement next week. As for Archer, Villa will make a decision on him in last week of summer transfer window. He'll get plenty of game time over pre-season in Oz. For me, I'd keep him around; no sign of his hot streak dampening at all. On fire! Jenkouk: Is this Archer’s breakthrough season? Ashley says: Villa are open-minded about Archer. Will see how he performs over pre-season before a decision is made whether to loan him out or not. I love him; knows where the net is, fantastic finisher. I'm with you, needs to be really tested. Excelled at Preston but PL different ball game in terms of who you're coming up against. Big pre-season for Cam. I think he's got a great chance of pushing Watkins and Ings... 'If you're good enough, you'll play' is Gerrard's motto. CraigM1981: Do you think with the system Gerrard plays that Bailey and Traore will get much game time or do you think he’ll keep them and tweak his system? How much more cash do you think we are going to splash? Do you think we'll get everything we need before our pre-season? Steven Gerrard embraces Leon Bailey after the Premier League match between Leicester City and Aston Villa Ashley says: Gerrard will have a look at tweaking the system over pre-season to give the likes of Bailey/Traore a chance to impress and make a statement. SG wants more attacking options; the pair can play centrally as 9s or 10s. As for cash, hard to put a figure on that; left-back, CM and striker still desired. £50m+ still to play with… Ethan woodward: Any news on the stadium development and inner city academy. I thought it was starting construction at the end of the season? Ashley says: I'm due to pop down to the inner city academy site this week, see what's happening. I was told building work was to start this summer... Stadium development plans will be made public in August. I'll see why there's a delay to the inner city academy and will report back. Excited by that little project! Djs147: What do you know about any cheeky offers for Suarez or Bale? Ashley says: Suarez was on the cards but that ship, I'm told, has sailed now. I've had nothing re Bale but that's one that really intrigues me. Got a lot to offer still and has the carrot of the World Cup in winter. Be a class signing, should Villa act. Bale's not decided on his next move. Players all still on holiday; ins and outs will ramp up from next week. JamesUTV: Obviously lots of talk as to villa bringing in “striker”... obviously there are links to Bale who is more of a winger. Do you think this may be more of a target area than a striker, especially as we have 3 top strikers. Seeing Arsenal linked to Raphinha… could that be attainable for Villa maybe? Is a winger likely as we need more pace in the team? Ashley says: Bale, for me, is more of a No.9 now anyway.

. Needs to stay injury-free. Gerrard's favoured system is a narrow one, as we know, and wingers have hardly featured. I've been told today that Traore is well-liked by SG so that's an intriguing situation given his ill-fated season last term. One thing is for sure and Gerrard wants more options in attack. I believe Archer should stay and could quite easily become a starter given his form. Adam Vincent: Any idea of when the new kits will finally be announced? Getting a bit sick of all the "leaks" on Twitter! Ashley says: Villa are always one of the last to release their kits. Players back next week. First friendly is in two weeks on Saturday... no official date from the club just yet, sadly, but must be the beginning of July. Wittongrassbanker: There is a lot of talk that Steven needs to bring another striker in. I personally don't think so. Michael Owen was 17 I think when he made his debut. Now I'm not suggesting young Cameron is as good as Owen but we need to see what he can do on the big stage. We don't need older players coming in for one last payday holding up the progress of some of our potentially superb kids. Thus far I like the business we've done, especially Kamara. He looks superb. Ashley says: I'm totally with you re Archer. Play him, could quite easily be a starter should his incredible form continue. So intrigued by what he can do on the big stage. Looking forward to seeing him alongside Coutinho and Co in pre-season. SG wants more options in attack, though, including new No.9 so we'll wait and see. Yep, Kamara looks like the pick of the bunch. Really excited to see him slot into the midfield. Huge talent. PatKeogh: Just a quick one on loanees, now that Beale's joined QPR is there any indication SG will be favouring them for potential loans? Also, your thoughts on the Neil Critchley appointment - fantastic IMO. Ashley says: Yes, QPR is a real option for Villa's young guns now. A great place to develop under Beale. And Critchley, Villa acted swiftly, lined him up previously. Did a fine job as a No.1 at Blackpool. Gerrard loves him. A great get given timing of Beale's departure. MikeyVillan: Any news about who we are looking at as a striker signing? Do you reckon we would have any chance of signing Jesus from City with all the Brazilian boys gathering at the club?! lol Cheers. Ashley says: Expecting R9, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho to rock up soon!! But Gabriel Jesus is not on Villa's list. Arsenal still red-hot favourites to land him. It would be a great get. Villa still exploring No.9 market, mate. SG wants options. Jona94: If we didn’t sign another player this window - I know we will - but let’s say the window shuts tomorrow, would you be happy to go with what we have got? Ashley says: You've got to say yes. Great question. Interested to hear other people's views... Really happy with the 4 that have come in; especially Kamara.
