L’Equipe reports that Wolves have seen a €3million offer turned down by Bordeaux for striker Hwang Ui-jo, with talks set to continue in the coming days. Cash-strapped Bordeaux urgently need to raise funds after being relegated to Ligue 2. South Korea international Hwang Ui-jo, 29, is one of their most saleable assets and Premier League teams have been linked with him during this transfer window. Wolves could now add him to their South Korean contingent, with Hwang Hee-chan and Jeong Sang-bin already at Molineux - albeit the latter will remain on loan at Grasshoppers until 2023. He netted 11 goals in 32 matches last season as Bordeaux finished rock-bottom of Ligue 1, and 12 in 36 the previous campaign. He is a regular in South Korea’s starting line-up alongside Hwang Hee-chan and the pair have both made 47 appearances for their country, although Hwang Ui-jo made his debut one year earlier in 2015. Hwang Ui-jo has scored 16 goals for South Korea, whereas Hwang Hee-chan has bagged eight.
