If so, you could be in luck as West Midland Safari Park (WMSP) is advertising for a number of permanent roles ahead of the festive period. As well as working in a unique setting, the perks of a job at the Bewdley attraction include a WMSP Annual Pass, which gives you, your family and friends free admission. All the below roles also include a 35 per cent discount in the park's retail and catering outlets as well as off its special events. Then there's the 24-hour access to an online doctor and access to online prescriptions, counselling access and the online retailer discount portal. Part time is 2 x 12 hours while full time is 4 x 12 hour shifts including days and nights, followed by four days off. The host will liaise with guests by undertaking a range of reception and administrator activities. The role will also conduct a variety of preparation duties including food, luggage and guest transfers, and be on hand to assist with any other guest requests. The park is therefore looking for someone with previous experience in a hospitality or accommodation setting as well as strong communication skills. Due to needing to drive guest into the animal restricted areas, anyone applying will also need to hold a valid driving licence. The role includes 20 days holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays), with an extra day after 5 years' service.

Food and Beverage Assistant Hours: Up to 37.5 dependant on the needs of the individual and business (permanent zero-hour contract), will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings. The attraction says a typical day involves processing transactions to serve the guests refreshments such as ice-creams, bottled drinks, sweets, crisps and other snacks. It is therefore looking for someone who is highly motivated, with a strong customer focus and friendly manner. Any applicants will also have to be flexible in their approach to working outside of standard business hours.
