PremierLeague-News.Com - Jack Grealish missed Aston Villa's defeat to Leicester City with a leg injury and the captain is a doubt to face Leeds United on Saturday
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Dion Dublin has told Aston Villa’s players they must up their game without Jack Grealish after Sunday’s defeat to Leicester City. Grealish’s absence was keenly felt against the Foxes with Villa lacking a creative edge in the 2-1 loss to Brendan Rodgers’ side. The influential captain, who missed his first Premier League match since November 2019, is now a doubt to face Leeds United on Saturday after picking up a leg injury in training last week. Grealish has scored six top-flight goals this season and made 10 assists - Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the only player to have made more in both columns. Anwar El Ghazi and Ross Barkley both made way in the second half, with Trezeguet and Jacob Ramsey coming on, while Bertrand Traore also struggled despite getting a goal back just after half-time. But Dublin insists Villa must not rush Grealish back into the team before he is fully fit. The former Villa striker added: “There is no point in Villa rushing him back, and it won't help him either. Grealish would be in my England squad every day of the week if he was 100% fit, and that is what his focus has to be now so he can be at his best for club and country.” Smith was furious that news of Grealish's injury appeared online ahead of the game, vowing to “reprimand” the source of the leak.
