Dan shocked fans by announcing he would be leaving the BBC for a new job at Channel 5. Dan had the support of his army of fans during his appearance on BBC Strictly Come Dancing where he was partnered with Nadiya Bychkova. He narrowly missed out in a spot in the semi-final when he was eliminated in week 11. He has insisted that weather presenter Carol is an "integral" part of the BBC Breakfast show.
