The payments were announced by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt in his Autumn Statement. To be eligible for the payment, you will need to be receiving one of the following DWP benefits: Attendance Allowance Constant Attendance Allowance Disability Living Allowance (for adults and children) Personal Independence Payment Armed Forces Independence Payment War Pension Mobility Supplement Scottish disability payments (for adults and children) The DWP has yet to confirm eligibility dates for the £150 disability cost of living payment. However, the payment will be non-taxable, will not affect existing benefit awards and will not count towards the annual benefits cap. £300 pensioner cost of living payment In 2023, pensioners who receive the annual winter fuel payment will also get a £300 pensioner cost of living payment alongside it. A £300 pensioner cost of living payment is also being issued along with the regular winter fuel payment this year. The winter fuel payment - which is automatically issued to most people of state pension age, subject to other eligibility criteria - is typically issued in November and December. All winter fuel payments for this winter should have reached those eligible by January 13, 2023. It is expected that the 2023 winter fuel payment will also be issued in November and December next year, with the £300 pensioner cost of living payment also included.
