The five areas with the biggest week-on-week rise are Daventry (up from 25.6 to 46.5), Newcastle upon Tyne (41.6 to 58.8) and Watford (28.0 to 42.5), as well as Craven (40.3 to 50.8) and Wealden (14.2 to 24.2). The rate is expressed per 100,000 people and represents how many cases have been recorded in the past seven days. Each evening, the Press Association news agency will compile the list based on the latest data from the Public Health England body. PHE compiles data based on pillar one and pillar two testing - with rates published per 100k in a handy list for news publications to use.
